DFW—
Love fine dining, but hate the sticker shock? Restaurant week begins on August 16th, and several new restaurants have joined in on the charity event (which donates $7 from every prixe-fix $35 meal to the North Texas Food Bank). We wanted to see what they have on the menu.We stopped by Cadot in North dallas/Richardson, to try some modern French cuisine. Chef Jean Marie Cadot made us escargot prepared with butter, cream, garlic and fresh herbs. it was delicious. His motto is to make french food approachable and affordable.
Then we went to Dallas Chophouse in downtown Dallas. Chef Tesar made a fresh watermelon and heirloom salad with feta and fresh herbs.
And finally we went to Bailey's steakhouse in Fort Worth's arts district. The chef prepared a seared lime and cilantro glazed salmon that was nestled on a bed of mashed potatoes.
