Go green couriers are zipping through traffic, picking up and making deliveries while saving the planet. Deliverer Robb Hormillosa said, "most courier companies use trucks to deliver their packages from one building to another. The only time they turn their vehicles off is when they go into a building as soon as they come out they turn it back on and it's a constant cycle of waste."

"This is something that is new and fresh and a lot better for the environment," said his brother Tony Hormillosa.

The two brothers started their green courier business in early august. They use bike messengers around downtown dallas, including uptown and turtle creek.

Hybrid vehicles are used for longer distances. There are about 100 courier services in the metroplex, but this is the only green one - outside of Atlanta.

"For every hybrid that we have on the road we save 17 to 33 tons of emissions per year going into the air," Tony said.

The Hormillosa's use a laptop to dispatch crews, instead of wasting energy by taking up office space. Evergreen architectural group shares their philosophy. "When they send their bill they send it to us through email and then we pay online so there's no invoices."

Also, go green courier rates are lower according to Tony. "When you have guys who are having to spend 60 - 70 dollas a day in gas compared to us where we spend that much every 3 or 4 days in one of these cars we're able to pass that savings on," he said.

Noka chocolateis becoming more green, and did not hesitate signing up for the service."Our chocolate is very subject to melting so we need service within an hour and it needs to be picked up on time, delivered on time."
