The Nasher Sculpture Center sits across from the Dallas Museum of Art in the heart of the arts district. Nasher is the only museum of its kind in the world. It pairs modern and contemporary sculptures together in an indoor and outdoor setting.
Every Thursday night through July 30th, admission is free. From 5-10pm, the center offers complimentary tours, a live DJ and yoga in the garden with an instructor, starting at 6.
"It's also an opportunity for people to come out who might not have been to the center before and to just experience Picasso, Rodin and Matisse," said Jane Offenbach, Director of External Affairs.
"We also have Friday night films in the garden that are free. We have six of those running through the middle of July. This Friday we'll be showing Sleepless in Seattle," she said.
All of the events are family friendly.
"Absolutely bring your children. I think children are so unintimidated by the art," Offenbach said.
"My son is 12 and I want him to learn and appreciate art and I think this is a great environment. It's very relaxed, very comfortable," said Ruby Velazquez, who made the trip with her son.
The best part is, it doesn't have to cost a penny.
