Local Cities' Fourth of July Celebrations!
Addison, TX - Kaboom Town 2009

The free event will include a 30-minute firework show choreographed to music and live radio on simulcast on JACK FM. Food, live music, as well as a free showing of The Raiders of the Lost Ark will be available. This event will begin Friday, July 3 from 5 p.m. to Midnight at the Addison Circle Park located in Bud Light Main Stage, 4970 Addison Circle Drive.

Arlington, TX -The 434th Annual Independence Day Parade

The Arlington parade will consist primarily of floats with the selected theme of "Commemorating Our National Monuments And Memorials." The parade also includes marching bands to exotic automobiles, military color guards to clowns. An Award Ceremony will take place after the parade at Heritage Park, 201 W. Front Street at 1 p.m. to recognize the best floats. The parade starts July 4th at 9:00 a.m. in downtown Arlington.

The Colony, TX - Liberty by the Lake

For the second year in a row, Liberty by the Lake will be hosting the R5Water-XRacing Tour, one of the countries up and coming personal watercraft racing circuits. Along with the R5Water-XRacing Tour, a festival and fireworks show will take place this 4th of July at the Lewisville Lake.

Dallas,TX - Fair Park Fourth

Starting at 5 p.m. this Fourth of July event will include carnival games, food vendors and free admission to all Fair Park Museums. There will also be a free patriotic concert by the Dallas Wind Symphony followed by fireworks at around 9:15 p.m.

Fort Worth, TX - Old Fashioned Family Fireworks Picnic

The Fourth of July three-night event will host the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra which will perform patriotic songs and classic marches, and the fireworks display will be taking place each of the nights. Gates open each night at 6:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 8 p.m at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, 3220 Botanic Garden Boulevard, Fort Worth. The cost for the event starts at free - $18, other fees may apply.

Fort Worth, TX - Cats Baseball & Family Fun at La Grave Field

Free family activities, and $1 baseball tickets as the Cats play at La Grave field, off Main Street between downtown and the Stockyards. Events begin at 5:30pm and last until fireworks are over; game vs. Pensacola begins at 6:35pm. Activities include: Cats baseball game, salute to the troops, Navy jet flyover, towel giveaway, Levee slides, Delux bounce houses, Jet Ski shows, watermelon, photos with Stockyards steer, train tours, water wars, treasure dig, pony rides, battle of the bands.

Frisco, TX - City of Frisco's 8th Annual Frisco Freedom Fest

Frisco's fireworks display is the biggest in North Texas.The extravaganza is free and viewable from the area around Pizza Hut Park & Simpson Plaza at City Hall. Prior to the fireworks, the fest which begins at 4 p.m. will include other free activities such as the Community Stage with homegrown soloists, bands and dancers. The Children's Expo will feature jump houses, two Euro bungee rides, face painting, strolling entertainers, a 25 foot rock wall, games and a chance to write a letter to U.S. Troops.

Irving, TX - Irving's Firecracker 4th!

The 24th annual Fourth of July celebration will feature the Irving Symphony Orchestra's Fourth of July Concert at Williams Square in Las Colinas. The Irving Symphony Orchestra will perform patriotic music followed by a spectacular fireworks show over Lake Carolyn. Food and beverage vendors will be available, and everyone is encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., admission is free.

Plano, TX - Plano Independence Day Parade

This Fourth of July celebration will host a float competition starting at 9 a.m. The parade route scheduled at Independence Parkway will start at Plano Senior High School (Park) going north to Spring Creek Parkway, ending at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

Richardson, TX - Family Fourth Celebration

The free event will take place in Breckinridge Park and is opened to the entire community. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets and/or lawn chairs. The Fourth of July celebration will start at 6:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. Attractions include strolling balloon artists, bounce houses, and a climbing wall for the kids. This year, the Star Spangled Safety Event aims to make the citizens of Richardson aware of Fire Safety, Crime Prevention and Emergency Preparedness through the means of information pamphlets, goody bags for children, and family fun with a fire truck slide and police car bounce house. The firework show will start approximately at 9:45 p.m. and will feature eight colored Skylites choreographed to the fireworks and music score.
