DALLAS - Did you know you could change your clothes and instantly look 10 pounds skinnier?

Charla Krupp is the New York Times best selling author who has a new book, 'How To Never Look Fat Again', and she's showing how to wear the latest trends, but look much thinner.

We went to Macy's Galleria to do some shopping and find out how to dress to not look fat. One of the latest trends now is riffles, but instead of wearing it across the entire body of a dress, horizontally, charla recommends finding a dress that only shows ruffles on bottom. It slims you down and draws attention to a small waist and curvier frame.

Another dress trend right now is wearing them super short. charla says stay away from dresses that are short at the leg, and have a deep plunging neckline, it's too much skin and overall unflattering. Instead, try a dress that is just above knee length, with a cinched waist and scoop or v neck. It's much more thinning.

For jeans, stay away from white, and if you do wear white, make sure they're the right size, not too tight. And stay away from embellishment, it makes your butt look bigger! Go for dark denim without anything on your pockets.
