FORT WORTH, TX - Fire destroyed a home under construction in Fort Worth early this morning. The house, two months from being completed, is in the 1700 block of Catalina Drive in the gated community of River Crest Landing.

Emergency crews responded to a call around 2:40 am. The response was one alarm, but two other engine companies assisted in preventing the fire from spreading. Because the house was unoccupied and unstable, firefighters fought the blaze from outside. There were no injuries but most of the structure collapsed.

Cause of the fire is being investigated; firefighters estimate damage at around 1.5 million dollars.
