This upbeat restaurant - club - tequila bar sits right in the middle of the medical district in Fort Worth. The 'Yucatan Taco Stand' has an unusual name that may throw you off a bit. "When somebody says 'come to the"taco stand,' I thought it was an actual taco stand. I really did," said a guest, Samanthat Sztamenits.

The chic decor, dance floor, loud music, and crowded bar, create a night-life atmosphere that is everything but a typical "taco stand."

If you heard the words "taco stand" in the title of a restaurant, you'd think silver cart on the side of the road that is selling tacos, but the Yucatan Taco Stand has Mexican cuisine with a Latin twist and serve it with what is called "fast-casual" service.

Owner Steve Mitchells says, "You come into the restaurant and we have a menu board on the side, and when you get to the counter service you can order your food there, and then you sit down and your food comes out to you."

And it's there famous Margaritas that keep people coming back for more -- and their secret is simple.

"Most places just serve a low-grade tequila or bottom shelf tequila and we serve a really high grade tequila. We use a really good triple sec, and the way that we serve it and chill it is just fantastic."

But if you're wanting to try the tequilas for yourself, they are more than willing to give you a taste of more than just one.

"We do tequila flights like most places do wine flights. You get to learn about tequila, you get to learn about where it's from, how it's made," said Mitchell.

With their unique dishes, fast service, and strong drinks, the Yucatan Taco Stand is a place you're going to want to check out.
