At the final rehearsal before the pageant, the current Miss Texas and Miss Teen Texas can't help but remember the moment they accepted the crown.

Miss Texas, Rebecca Robinson said, "It was the sweetest victory you could ever imagine. Miss Teen Texas Sydney Capello, Teen said "I won and I was really freaked out, I didn't know what to expect".

As their title year comes to an end they reflect on what it took to get here..."It's so beautiful to look back on my year as Miss Texas and the adversities that I've experienced through competing in pageants and that's something I can take in my heart and soul and carry out into life"....and what their goals are for the future.

"I would love to win the state title when I'm older and to hopefully become Miss America".

Despite the ditsy stereotype, these girls insist that poise and sophistication lie beneath the glossy surface. "Is that we're all super blond and not intelligent and that's a stereo type I love debunking every single day working as Miss Texas".

So what does it take to be a pageant queen and to win the coveted crown?

"We have to be equipped with what's going on in the world, current events, how we feel about them. Not just knowing what they are but having a stance on it".

In the nervous hours before showtime, they primp, practice and prep, but despite countless rehearsals, no pageant would be complete without drama.

Felicia Fuller said," We've been flashed, we've lost shoes, we've seen people fall costumes coming off, zippers coming down".

Along with the crown, the winner will get a college scholarship, car, clothes, and jewels...but back to that crowning glory...

Rebecca Robinson said, "You always hear stories about girls sleeping in their crowns after they've won because they're Oh, reveling in the victory"!

And one lucky girl will do just that by the end of tonight.
